If you got this far you've probably already made the decision that you would like to become a Christian.  So now you're probably wondering what else you have to do to make this happen.  Well, in making the decision, you've already done most of what it takes.  Believing in Jesus and accepting His grace are the biggest parts of the whole process; the rest is really easy.

If you ask ten different people at ten different churches the question: "How Can I Become A Christian?" you will, likely as not, get ten slightly different answers.  It sometimes seems way more confusing than it ought to be.  The bottom line, however, in becoming a Christian is an honest desire to have Jesus Christ as Lord of your life.  If you have already made the decision that Jesus Christ is real and that you need Him in your life you will need to be willing to accept His Word (the Bible), and to accept His sacrifice, through death, as a covering for your sins.  You will also have to be willing to confess in your heart and with your mouth, publicly, that you want Jesus in your life as your only Lord and Savior.  It's really not all that difficult.  It doesn't hurt or cost any money.  Jesus already took the pain and paid the price.  The gift of God's grace through Jesus is given freely.  All you have to do is accept it, confess it, and be willing to live it.  The "living it" part can get a little trying at times as you learn to live according to God's plan for you, but that's why God sent us the Holy Spirit and "each other" through the church!  The joy of living in God's plan will more than makes up for any effort you or we might put into it.

Here are some steps you can take:

Ask God (Jesus) to reveal Himself to you in a real way.  He probably won't appear to you in person or in blinding light, but you will know, in your own way, that He is real.

Tell God, through prayer, that you are sorry for your rebellion against Him (sins), and that you would like forgiveness through Jesus Christ, accepting Him as the Lord of your life.

Talk to a pastor or elder at a Christian church (like Central Christian Church) and tell them that you would like to confess your faith publicly and be baptized.  Believe me, they will be so excited that they will almost stumble over themselves making arrangements for this to happen.  Central Christian Church is all about reaching people for Christ.  YOU are our most important priority.

Your life will be changed forever.

Our Pastor, Mark Leeper, has written some more detailed information about this topic in an article called "How Can I Become A Christian?"   We have also listed some Baptism Guidelines that should help you plan your baptism wherever it may take place.

Welcome to the Kingdom!!!
